Dan Melson, from Pratt, Kansas, grew up hunting and fishing in south central Kansas. When not chasing his passion of upland bird hunting in the sandhills, Dan worked in the agriculture industry during high school and college.
After college, Dan had a career in conservation which included serving as a Wildlife Biologist Technician in Dodge City where he was assigned to the NRCS office and worked with landowners to improve wildlife habitat with the CRP and WRP programs. This was followed by 23 years as a Kansas Game Warden serving in southeast, western, and northeast Kansas. As a land agent, Dan’s unique statewide knowledge of Kansas agriculture and wildlife resources has contributed greatly to success for clients across the state of Kansas.
Dan currently resides in northeast Kansas with his wife Danelle and their son Brooks.
